I found this TAG classic 30 foot pit while walking through the woods looking for something to work on. I saw a little wet spot in some leaves around some flat rocks. Not having anything else to do, I pulled the leaves out and found a hole underneath a large flat rock. It took an hour of solid digging to unearth the slab. With three strong backs we were able to pull the rock up, but it was too heavy to pull out, so I just wedged a rotten piece of wood in to keep it from falling back in. I went down and saw the pit but it was too small for me to fit. Mark then went in and worked on it. Jonathon was the only one small enough to fit. He went down and the pit taped at exactly 30 feet, with a total depth of 37 feet, and length of 6 feet. Marion Smith did not even try it. So goes the discovery of another nerd hole in TAG.
