(Slides 1-3) are from a large forrest fire near Dulap. Sharon and I saw the fire and then drove over to the mountain side to hike up and take photos. It was pretty neat! We then took a quick tour of Rockhouse Cave east of Sparta later that evening (slide 4). On Saturday we went in Dripping Drop (slides 5-8). In Dripping Drop we discovered two new 100 footer pits but one trashed our rope (slide 9). For directions to do them go here. Later I led a through trip in Lost Creek Cave via the 120 foot pit in the Ben White section. After the pit a tight crack and a pull down leads to the scenic lower entrance. (Slides 13-17) are from a trip to Mill Creek Pit. This 149 footer is good to do at least once. Monk is pushing a lead in (slide 18). (Slides 19-20) are from a trip to Johnson Cave. Nice entrance also. |
